  Nerja

This is the historical capital of the Eastern Costa del Sol, with nine kilometres of coastline. It is a perfect example of balance between nature and infrastructure, combining a fishing and farming village ambience with modern facilities. At half an hour from Malaga City, it enjoys an exceptional climate in a beautiful landscape.

  Virgins on thrones

Holy Week in Malaga takes place during the first full moon in spring and is famous all over the world. Absolute protagonists of this emotional event are always the Virgins on their thrones. These are giant structures, similar to altars, carried through the streets. Malaga during Holy Week is a good example of the passion of this festival in Andalusia, with the Virgins treated as genuine queens of the festival.
