The Tourist Board welcomes Swiss travel agents

07/02/2009 - The International Marketing Department of the Costa del Sol Tourist Board has just been involved in a fam trip to Andalusia for eight Swiss travel agents and tour operators. The group was escorted by the Director of the Spanish Tourist Office (OET) in Geneva. Taking into account that this OET had not organised a fam trip since 2005, this has been an interesting activity, for Swiss travel professionals were eager to come to our autonomous community. 06/30/2009 - This morning, the headquarters of the Costa del Sol Tourist Board played host to a meeting between the representative of the Spanish Government in Málaga, Hilario López Luna, Deputy Chief Police Officer, Salvador Ferres, and actors in the tourism sector in Málaga Province. The meeting was aimed at stepping up citizen safety measures in travel destinations. On behalf of the Tourist Board, it was attended by our Managing Director, Ana Gómez. (more...)

New tourism projects launched by the Mijas Town Council at the Tourist Board headquarters

06/30/2009 - This morning, the Mijas Town Council introduced a series of tourism projects to be carried out in this town. The projects were presented in a press conference at the headquarters of the Costa del Sol Tourist Board, which was attended by the Mijas Mayor, Antonio Sánchez, and the Tourist Board Managing Director, Ana Gómez. With this initiative, the tourism authorities aim at supporting the changing patterns in the local travel industry by developing their own projects and running joint programmes with other government agencies, the Tourist Board, and actors in the tourism industry.
